Dr. Muna Al Tarshi

Biography

Dr. Muna Al Tarshi is a Senior Consultant at the Royal Hospital, Muscat. She earned her MD from Sultan Qaboos University and completed Internal Medicine and Hematology training at McGill University, obtaining FRCPC and American Board certifications. She completed a Bone Marrow Transplant fellowship at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, University of Toronto. Her practice focuses on lymphoma, plasma cell myeloma, and autologous stem cell transplantation. She is Associate Program Director at the Oman Medical Specialty Board and Treasurer of the Omani Society of Hematology.

Dr. Said Wani

Biography

Dr. Said Wani is an experienced health economist and PhD candidate in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) at Semmelweis University in Hungary. With a background in Pharmacy and advanced training in Pharmacoeconomics and Health Economics, he earned an MSc in International Health Economics from Cardiff University in the UK. Over the past 19 years at the Ministry of Health in Oman, he has held major leadership roles, including Director of Medical Supplies and Director of Pharmaceutical Procurement. His expertise covers pharmaceutical procurement, medical device management, quality systems (including ISO 13485), strategic planning, and HTA. He actively participates in implementing HTA in Oman, contributing to national guidelines, cost-effectiveness thresholds, and stakeholder engagement processes. As a member of ISPOR, HTAi and the GCC Health Economists Association, Said is dedicated to promoting evidence-based decision-making and building sustainable healthcare systems through education, collaboration, and policy reform.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sheashaey

Biography

Dr. Ahmed El-Sheashaey is the Chief Hospital Oncology Pharmacist and Medication Safety Officer at the Kuwait Cancer Control Center (KCCC). Since joining in 2008, he has led major initiatives in chemotherapy and immunotherapy protocol development, hospital safety leadership, and multidisciplinary cancer care. He holds certifications in patient safety, sterile compounding, medication safety, and specialty pharmacy in oncology and hematology. As Staff Development Officer since 2012, he oversees pharmacist training and clinical competency development. Ahmed also contributes to research, abstracts, and pharmacoeconomics, and plays a leading role in establishing Kuwait's first clinical and specialty oncology pharmacy service, supporting the transition to KCCC's new, future-ready facility.

Dr. Bushra Salman

Biography

Dr. Bushra Salman is a senior American Board-certified oncology pharmacist. She holds an MPharm degree from the University of Strathclyde, UK, and an MSc in Clinical Pharmacy from Sultan Qaboos University. She is a Senior Specialist Pharmacist at the National Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant Center, University Medical City. She has led key initiatives in clinical pharmacy services and formulary management and is an active researcher in cancer medicine.

Prof. Murtadha Al Khabori

Biography

Prof. Murtadha Al Khabori is Professor of Hematology at Sultan Qaboos University and Senior Consultant Hematologist at University Medical City, Oman. He trained in hematology and bone marrow transplantation in Toronto and in research at McMaster University.
